Watch water pipits and other roosting birds around the WW2 concrete barges
Find the River Car Park next to the River Thames, off Coldharbour Lane, down the lane next to the footbridge, Rainham RM13 9YQ (51.499241, 0.183407). Launch paddle board or kayak next to the pier one hour before high tide or walk around them as part of the London Loop path between Rainham and Purfleet.
Foot bridge over Ingrebourne River as part of a walk to Berwick Pond.
Find the lane opposite Saint Alban's Catholic Primary School, Heron Flight Ave, Hornchurch RM12 5LN, and drive or walk to the car park RM13 7YH (51.534130, 0.201964). From here, continue for 2 miles along the path across the Ingrebourne River in a chaotic, jagged circle to Berwick Pond.
