A beautiful watercolour study by Edmund Morrison Wimperis (1835-1900.
Wimperis was an English landscape painter. He was also British wood-engraver and member of the Arts Club
He was a close friend of Charles Kingsley, the author of Water Babies, and the then canon of Chester Cathedral. Wimperis also had a family connection to the Brontës through a Maria Branwell, the mother of the famous sisters.
A certificate of authenticity is included. Also included is an exclusive accompanying booklet on The Stephen Neale Art Collection (AF), as well a biography of Edmund Morrison Wimperis.
